Elizabeth Gillies (born Elizabeth Gillis) is an American actress, singer and songwriter. Her stage name is Lucy from her role on the Nickelodeon sitcom Victorious as well as Jade West for the musical 13. The actress began her career in advertisements in the year 2000. Her first television appearance in The Black Donnellys (2007). In the Nickelodeon show Victorious in which she was Jade West between 2010 and the year 2013. The show's main character was on FX's Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll series (2015-16). Elizabeth Egan Gillies' family is located in New Jersey where her birthplace was. In 2011, she received recognition by her performance as a lead character in the science fiction movie Super 8, which won her the Spotlight Award in the Hollywood thriller festival. Then she played the title character in the comedies We Bought a Zoo (2011) as well as Ginger & Rosa (2012) as well as the role as the princess Aurora in the fantasy movie Maleficent (2014) and Maleficent Misstress of Evil (2019).
